On the Optimal Whole-Body Vibration Protocol for Muscle Strength
نویسندگان
چکیده
The application of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) has been demonstrated to be effective in improving muscle strength/power by a number studies, but an optimal training protocol never established. This paper presents review studies on the effects WBV muscles and analysis data identify protocols for most beneficial neuromuscular responses terms vibration frequency, amplitude, knee flexion angle, body posture (standing, sitting, supine, prone), type (quadriceps, hamstrings), mode (superoinferior, anteroposterior, rotational). Ninety articles were selected final from initially 2093 using PRISMA guidelines. findings suggest that increase with frequency amplitude have not effect angle is clear. should determined considering adverse all parts human including related head acceleration. sitting or lying positions may provide better response than standing. Directions future research are discussed regard establishing as safe therapeutic/exercise modality strength health.

Effects of whole body vibration training on body composition, skeletal muscle strength, and cardiovascular health
Whole body vibration training (WBVT) has been used as a supplement to conventional exercise training such as resistance exercise training to improve skeletal muscle strength, specifically, in rehabilitation field. Recently, this exercise modality has been utilized by cardiovascular studies to examine whether WBVT can be a useful exercise modality to improve cardiovascular health. These studies ...

[Purpose] The aim of this study was to investigate whether or not a single whole-body vibration treatment after eccentric exercise can reduce muscle soreness and enhance muscle recovery. [Subjects and Methods] Twenty untrained participants were randomly assigned to two groups: a vibration group (n=10) and control group (n=10). Participants performed eccentric quadriceps training of 4 sets of 5 ...
متن کاملStrength training effects of whole-body vibration?
Whole-body vibration (WBV) has been suggested to have a beneficial effect on muscle strength. Manufacturers of vibration platforms promote WBV as an effective alternative or complement to resistance training. This study aimed to review systematically the current (August 2005) scientific support for effects of WBV on muscle strength and jump performance. MEDLINE and SPORT DISCUS were searched fo...

This work explored the short-term effect of whole body vibration (WBV) training on anthropometry, body composition and muscular strength in obese women. Fifty obese women (age = 46.8 ± 7.81[SD]y; BMI = 35.1 ± 3.55 kg/m(2)) were assigned to a ten-week WBV training period, two times a week (in each session, 14 min vibration training, 5 min rest; vibration amplitude 2.0-5.0mm, frequency 40-60 Hz),...
